Move your mouse over the canvas, and click to start localizing the pointer in the room.
To stop the simulation, click again or move your mouse out of the canvas.
After stopping the simulation, you can view any individual frame by clicking it in the log below
You can also use the left and right arrow keys to navigate, 0 to jump to the first frame, and 9 to jump to the last.
|Frame #||Actual Position||Predicted Position||Error||Error Color||Display Options:||Mouse Location||Guess Location||Mouse Path||Guess Path||Path Connectors||Particles|
|Pillar Left Offset||The distance (in pixels) between the left wall and the pillar.|
|Pillar Top Offset||The distance (in pixels) between the top wall and the pillar.|
|Mouse Path Color||The color of the path your mouse traces out.|
|Guess Path Color||The color of the path the particle filter thinks your mouse has taken.|
|Connect Path Color||The color of the dashed lines connecting the guessed location to the actual.|
|Connect Path Dash Length||The length (in pixels) of the dashes on the lines connecting guesses and actual.|
|Connect Path Space Length||The length (in pixels) of the spaces between the dashes on said lines.|
|Path Marker Size||The size of the markers used for the mouse and guess path.|
|Particle Size||The displayed size of each particle.|
|Particle Heading Length||The displayed size of each particle's heading indicator.|
|Playback Marker Size||The size of the mouse marker in the playback phase.|
|Weight Color Multiplier||Advanced: A factor that affects the heatmap-like coloration of particles.|
|Error Weight Color Divisor||Advanced: A factor that affects the heatmap-like coloration of the error bars.|
|Tick Rate||Number of "ticks" per second in the simulation.|
|Number of Particles||How many particles the simulation should use at a time.|
|Particle Speed Noise Factor||The maximum amount of noise that is added to particles' speed.
0.5 would mean up to 50% faster or slower, for example.
|Particle Heading Noise||The maximum amount of noise that is added to particles' heading (given in degrees).|
|Exploration Factor||A value (from 0 to 1) indicating how many of the particles should be used for exploration.|
